Stock vehicular multipanels

 

 

Weland vehicular multipanels are always fully edged and hot dip galvanized as standard. Matching kerb angle frames are also available from stock (See Link) , built by angle sections 200 + 200 and 3 m side sections witch is adapted at casting.

Maximum freespan for vehicular multipanels

 

The table below gives examples of four significant load situtions with motor vehicles.

 

The values indicated are calculated and tested for load conditions exposing the panel to maximum stress.

 

The tyre contact area and the traffic flow direction determine the type and dimensions of the grating panel.

Example how to read the tables

 

A grating is required for traffic with small trucks and for 0.6 m freespan. Traffic flow direction is along the load bearing bars.

 

Look up the table above, small trucks. Under daylight 0.6 m and traffic flow direction A you will find that grating no. 8 is recommended. Look up grating no. 8 in the table below. Here you find the information on name, grating size and size of the matching kerb angle frame.
