Gangways, decking of grating

Weland gangway for disabled people consists of decking of grating with mesh 17 x 75 mm c/c, stringers, railing and support legs, all supplied in loose parts for easy assembly on site.

All material is hot dip galvanized as standard.

Standardized Modules

Standardized Modules are stocked in lengths of 1500 - 6000 mm in intervals of 500 mm and widths of 900 alt. 1300 mm. The slope of the gangway is adjustable, but must be kept within 1:12. If gangway sections exceed 6 m length, a rest landing must be added.

Stringer and Railing

Stringers are manufactured from angles 150 x 60 x 5 mm with or without railing. The railing consists of handrail 42 mm dia. of stainless steel and balusters of channel bars. The height is 900 mm.

Handrails

If a gangway is arranged alongside a wall, it can be manufactured with a railing on one side and a handrail bolted against the wall on the other. Handrails are manufactured from 42 mm dia. tube and are equipped with fixing lugs. The handrail is made of stainless steel.

Decking

The gangway consists of type N6 grating with 17 x 75 mm c/c mesh size.Width 890 and 1290 mm. The bottom section of the gangway is provided with a drive-on plate. For standardized landings the grating dimensions are 1100 x 1100, 1100 x 1000, 1500 x 500 and 1500 x 1000 mm respectively.

Leg Supports

Leg supports are required every third metre. They are manufactured from steel tube 42.4 mm dia. The bottom end of the support is provided with a threaded bush. A base plate with a welded-on threaded tube fits into the threaded bush providing 30 - 100 mm height adjustment. Supports are manufactured in lengths of 350, 600 and 1000 mm, right-hand and left-hand design. Cutting to the required length on site.

Fixing angles, jointing angles

Fixing angles are used between the gangway and the wall, dimensions 115 x 50 x 300 mm. Jointing angles are used between the gangway and the standardized landing, dimensions 115 x 50 x 220 mm. Both can be used for right-hand and left-hand stringers.

Child-proof railings

Weland ramp for disabled people can also be delivered with child-proof railing with a maximum distance of 100 mm between the balusters. The railing can be placed on either side of the ramp.
