For increased safety a rest landing should be provided for ladders exceeding 6 metres height. The distance between the rest landings mounted on very high ladders should not exceed 6 metres. Design following SS 83 13 40.

The rest landing consists of the following components: 1 grating with edging, 2 angle brackets, 4 "half" hoops, 2 horizontal and 5 vertical flats.
